The desolate landscape of the now disused factories in Salford , 1968
A grim place now, and an even grimmer place in Lowry's time.
These factories have now largely been replaced or turned into 'upmarket' apartments.
The clanking noises and smoky atmosphere has all but disappeared...
We have acquired a set of photoraphs taken in 1968 by Maurice Rowe, a photographer and framer from Pippins road, Bredon in Gloucestershire.
Each one has been personally signed by the photographer,
and captures the character and originality that made Lowry the great artist, whose work has been recoginised internationally.
We have only one of each photograph, should you be interesting in purchasing, please email or phone.
