Errors
As confirmed by the senior archivist at the time, Mr J.Hughes
Before the electric machine in 1973, the prints were stamped manually, and the letters on the wheels changed
Sadly, the Fine Art Trade Guild have lost the records of which letters were used during that period.
This means that for certain titles, eg. The Family ... the above code/numbers are incorrect.
The signed limited edition prints that were stamped by The Fine Art Trade Guild were photo lithos,
Which basically meant that when the edition was printed, the whole edition was identical,
and there was no difference in value or condition between any particular print.
The old Fine Art Trade Guild list is therefore more of interest and curiosity rather than necessary authentication of the work.
The Fine Art Trade Guild no longer stamp signed limited editions.
