The Tall Tower was published alongside, The Tall Man, The Tramp, and Mill scene.
A most unusual building, rather odd and quirky, showing the humorous side of Lowry
The Tall Tower is a little similar to the tower in 'Meeting Point'
No one is quite sure what it is for and why it exists.
We can see figures moving towards it, and a few leaving, but the rest is a mystery. What is the difference between buildings and towers?
A tower is a tall structure, taller than it is wide, often by a significant factor.
Towers are specifically distinguished from buildings in that they are built not to be habitable but to serve other functions using the height of the tower.
