Ganymed Lithographs
These are original lithographs drawn for the purpose, and not existing in any other form.
They are published in limited editions of 75. Each copy is numbered and has been signed by the artist.
All lithographs are printed in black with a tint background.
Due to the lenghty 'hands-on' process and the fact that no two lithographs are identical, they are widely regarded as 'original' prints.
This is a fine example of one of the sixteen original lithographs that Lowry produced.
Obviously a very busy Sunday afternoon, as the many figures (and dogs) show, all going about their particular business on what must have been seen as a quiet restful day in Lancashire.
Sunday Afternoon is a signed, limited edition lithograph by L.S. Lowry released in 1969, featuring typical "matchstick men" walking in a park.
This print is part of a strict edition of 75, often depicted on a beige tint background,
and usually measures approximately 24" x 19".
It captures the leisure time of working-class people, a common theme for the artist.
